Raw Chocolate A-Go-Go

Raw chocolate is a super duper food and now you can make it at home.  This recipe introduces a simple white chocolate which is made with Cacao Butter- you can order Raw Cacao Butter at specialty online stores or perhaps find it in a local Co-op.  Zeolite Detoxifying Clay helps to rid the body of heavy metals and other toxins.  Maca powder is a superfood that helps to balance hormones.  Raw Coconut Nectar is used to sweeten the chocolate, it is a low glycemic sugar that does not cause intense spikes in blood sugar balance.


1/2 lbs. Raw Cacao Butter

1 heaping Tbsp. Zeolite Detoxifying Clay

2 Tbsp. Maca Powder

3-6 Tbsp. Raw Coconut Nectar

Pink Himalayan Salt as desired


Before heating up the ingredients, make sure that you have a mold to make the chocolates in; this can be either a bar chocolate or individual shapes.  I found some thrifty shapes at a Michael's art store, or make a bar of chocolate in a tupperware container.

Use a double boiler to melt the Cacao Butter and make sure to keep the heat low (under 105°F).  Once the Cacao Butter melts add the rest of the ingredients and mix well.  Use a ladle or spoon to pour the Chocolate into molds.  Place chocolates into freezer for at least 30 minutes to cool and solidify.
